Two
on the mother's side with national dress
 In
between do I make some portraits.
- Not many,
especially not, if compared to these “pure portrait
artists”
-
I met on Charles
Bridge or on Montmartre,
but in relations to what is usual today,
-
among artists working abstract, do I think
it is all right.
-
Anyway, more important than the number on
works in portraits, I feel portrait painting is some special and
giving me one challenge the landscape, still life and other
themes not give and as I not will be without.
-
I think that this knowledge, I have get
through my portrait painting, also has speeding up my painting
time and suggest more positive play back can happen, as the time
going on.
-
-
My
portrait-works count:
-
”47
portraits in oil, 17 portraits in drawing, 6 portraits in water
colour and 2 portraits in pastel“.
-
Of
these seventy-two portraits is sixteen of children and four of
these is girls.
-
Among
the rest of my
portrait-works is
ten from the mother's
side.
-
With
exception of one from Africa, two from Russia and three from
Denmark,
-
is
these persons, I have made portrait of, from Norway.
-
My
nearest family is the biggest group, as has posed for me
(Include my selves ;o))
-
and
then come my friends.
-
These six, truly they most known persons,
as is owner of portrait painted by me, is:
-
-
Gunnar
Berge, Ole
Gabriel Ueland, Arne
Larsen Økland,
-
Lauritz
Hansen,
Johan I Holm and
Dag
Sørensen.
